How to start a Client Invite Campaign (sms text)

This free and easy service allows you to invite all clients to join PetsApp by sending a personalised message through SMS and email.

What does the message say?

Our current Default message is: "Hi, we’d love you and petName to join us on PetsApp. It’s a free app that you can use to book appointments with us, order food and medication, or ask questions. You can even have a video chat with one of our vets or nurses. Get the app here:"

When do we need your client and pet data?

Your active client data must be with us by 1:00 pm the day before you wish your invitations to be sent.

What do we need to invite your clients?

To begin a campaign you will need to export a CSV or Excel list of clients and patients from your practice management system. (We are building a guide for practice management systems here)

These reports should have the following information in them:

Must have information

  • Patient Name
  • Mobile Number
  • Email address (if you wish an email invite to go out)
  • Site Registered at (if you have multiple clinics)
  • Patient ID 
Very good to have
  • Clients First Name
  • Clients Postcode
  • Email Address
  • Species
  • Breed
  • Sex
  • Member of your health club
  • neutered or not (if not included in sex)
  • Date of Birth of the Pet
  • Weight

IMPORTANT - You must exclude pets that have been re-homed, died, or lost. Also, remember to remove charities and breeders.

 
Once you have your data, please upload it using this e-form.

Next Steps

Once we have your data, we will confirm the date and time your PetsApp invitations will go out to your clients.  

You must keep us informed of any changes to the data and e-mail us directly with any pets that are sadly no longer with you by 1pm the day of your invites are going out.
